Kitchen Aid Cover

I love my Kitchen Aid! So to further profess my love and appreciation for it I decided to make it a beautiful cover to keep it safe and dust free.

I started out with picking out the fabric and setting some batting. I chose to use the same fabric that I used on my valance.
Next I used my Kitchen Aid as a guide. It was a little tricky to get the right fit, but I first cut out the two side pieces and then cut out the long middle piece.

Next I cut out the liner and batting to the same size as the first fabric.

Then sew all three pieces together. Top fabric, liner and batting.

Once you have sewn all of the pieces individually. You sew them together right side facing each other.

Next make your bias tape. You cut a piece to length and then fold it and iron it.

Sew the bias tape to the cover.

Finally, place it on your Kitchen Aid and enjoy the fresh look and dust free Kitchen Aid.

SInce I had some left over fabric I also made a cover for our tea pot.
