Christmas Curly Hair using Rags

When I visited my sister in Boston my nieces wanted to have curly hair so I decided to make some rags to do it.

Step 1. Find some sort of old fabric, I used some old socks.
Step 2. Cut 4-6 in strips. the strips only need to be about 1 in thick, but they need to be 4-6 in long so that you can tie the rags once in the hair.
Step 3. You are ready to start rolling the hair.I do it with wet hair, usually right after their bath. You do it just like you were using rollers. I start from the top of the head and take a small strip of hair. Start at the bottom of the strand and roll up until you get to the top. Then tie the rag in a single knot.
Step 4. continue to roll all of the hair.
Step 5. Let the hair dry. Over night is best, but at least 3 hours.

Step 6. Start from the bottom and unroll each curl.
Step 7. Seperate each curl to make more curls, twisting each curl around your finger as you go. This will     make the curls look more like ringlets.
Step 8. Style, and spray with hairspray.

Christmas Wreath

TO make a Rag Christmas Wreath you need:
1: Round wreaths (I used embroidery hoops, and a large metal ring that was laying around my house)
2: Fabric of your choosing, cut into 5 in long by 3/4 in wide strips, or whatever works on your object.
3: Scissors or a rotary cutter
4: Ribbon or any other embellishments you plan to use.

After you have cut your fabric, start tying knots onto your ring. Continue until you've made it all the way around.

I decided to use multiple wreaths and I tied them together with a pretty Christmas Ribbon.

Be sure to Tie a ribbon at the top that the wreath can hang by.
Hang your new wreath on your door, and stand back.

Add any embellishments that you want. I added a bow on the bottom you could even add small ornaments.
I honestly didn't spend a dime on this project, it was all stuff that I re-purposed. Think thrifty this holiday season. Enjoy!
